Recently I went to the Museum of Flight and it was a really fun experience. I have been wanting to go for a while because I haven’t visited since the pandemic. I happened to go on Yuri’s day, so it was crowded, but I was too interested in the aviation part of the museum that I didn’t get a chance to do anything with regards to space exploration.
I learned about the history of air mail, which I already knew a little about, but it was interesting to learn more. I also learned more about the history of flying in Alaska, which I didn’t find as intriguing, but was fun to learn about landing on glaciers and how the temperatures affect everything so much. Something else that stood out to me was the history of the museum and the origins of Boeing. The red barn that was part of the original Boeing company was moved down river and now is part of the museum.
I wanted to go back to the museum to explore everything else that I missed, but I haven’t had a chance yet.
