Are you excited about flying? Are you excited about traditional Irish music? Are you especially excited about both flying and Irish music? This year at AirVenture 2025, the Flying Musicians Association is hosting the third annual trad seisiún on Thursday night.
All attendees are welcome, especially those who play an instrument associated with Irish music—be it fiddle, tin whistle, uilleann pipes, concertina, button accordion, bodhrán, guitar, banjo, or mandolin. We’re inviting musicians of all skill levels, and we’ll find some tunes for you to join in. We’ll even have sheet music for playing along and lyric sheets for singing along!
For those who perform Irish dance—be it céilí dance, step dance, or anything else—you’re welcome to join the fun. Maybe rope in some spectators and show them how it’s done!
Finally, for those who don’t dance or play an instrument, come on down! We need enthusiastic clappers, foot stompers, and cheerers.
This is our chance to show off some Irish music and culture at the world’s greatest aviation gathering—and have a fantastic time together!

I’m putting up the lyrics and sheet music at https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1LwSyiwjpVTetsDSZ9YUruuORao8hMtZS?usp=sharing. It’s read-only. I’ll be adding sheet music for the trad tunes soon. And a proposed “kick off the evening” set list.

I’ve added a set list that can get us started and keep us going. It will probably change based on requests. It’s on Google drive (see link in first comment) also as “AirVenture 2025 Set List”. I’ve already placed the songs and will put up the music for the tunes from The Session soon.
