(pictures at bottom ) Lots of Flying Musicians will be at AirVenture 2023. Several changes this year. Many have asked why not move the open mic/jam to Friday? Done. Same location (Forum tent in Ultralight area) at time (8-10pm). Taking its place on Thursday evening will be the start of something new coordinated be member Mike Dewey. Mike will coordinate an Irish Trad session (more below). Two notable musicians are unable to attend this year – John Vining (North Central Ambassador) and Gary Filip (Life Member). Mike DeweyThis year at AirVenture 2023, the Flying Musicians Association is holding a trad seisiún on Thursday night starting at 7 pm at the UltraLight Barn And Forums Tent All attendees are welcome, especially those who play an instrument associated with Irish music, be it fiddle, tin whistle, Irish flute, uilleann pipes, bodhran, concertina, button accordian, guitar, banjo, voice, or mandolin. We’re inviting everyone at all levels of skill and we’ll find some tunes for you to join in.
