Sun ‘n Fun 2026

The first BIG aviation event of 2026 is fast approaching – Sun ‘n Fun – April 14 – 19, 2026. The Light Aircraft Manufacturers Association (LAMA) is happy to support the Flying Musicians in the Mozaic Mall in Paradise City during Sun ‘n Fun. We will be under Lil’ Blue, a star-tent provided by the DeLand Airport. The stage this year is sponsored by Voyage Air Guitars. The Sound System is provided by BOSE. There will be SONY and Sennheiser microphones available as well as AirTurn mic stands. A huge thank you to Lockwood Aviation Supplies for storing and transporting the PA system as well as providing storage at the site.

We have two special features this year with more in the wings. First off, Peter Buffington “Speed Brake Armed” will introduce his aviation themed music daily from Wednesday through Saturday with a DJ format from the FMA tent. Peter will not only spin his albums but will also explain how he creates his music. Secondly, student member Breck Dorow will be performing with his high school jazz quartet from West Palm Beach. BTW – Breck is also a finalist in the 2026 FMA Solo program.

Another high note, we will be demonstrating the compactness, strength, features, and musicality of the VA-04DLX and VA-04CDLX by sponsor Voyage Air Guitars. Come by for a demo and try them out. Don’t forget to sign up for the raffle that will be held this year for on VA-4DLX. AviNation will also demonstrate a VA-04DLX at their booth #EC-07 in the Flight Path & Education Center.

As of today, we will have a Keyboard (with weighted keys), and extra Guitars available all week. Drummers / Percussionist, please bring a cajon and or additional percussion instruments. We have shakers, cow bells, sticks.

Confirmed to perform: Denny Kotz (Mon-Sat), Byron & Nancy Miesse (Thu), John Street (TBD), Doug Byrd (Thu&Fri), Bud Coons (Mon & TBD), John Vining (Tue-Fri), Peter Buffington (Wed-Sat), Breck Dorow Quartet (Wed), and more soon to be announced.

To date, Denny Kotz, Brett Zukowski, Porter Nesbitt, and John have agree to be at the tent all week to provide daily outreach with Impromptu music and lots of hangar flying. Want to help?
