Around mid February this year was the annual Winooski Valley Jazz Festival: a somewhat local jazz event that many of the best student jazz musicians from mainly northern VT audition, and participate in. For the second year in a row I was proud to be among them. I had a blast, and even though our already short practice time was cut even shorter due to bad weather I think we still sounded pretty great for one day. Now I’m Looking forward to the Burlington Jazz Fest, or as I like to call it: The big one.
