Bassist Awarded Swing Wing Scholarship

We are happy to announce that Keatin Hertz, FMA student member and 2024 FMA Solo nominee, has been awarded the 2024 FMA Swing Wing scholarship. Keatin will attend the New York Hot Jazz Camp this April in the Big Apple. “As a participant in the New York Hot Jazz Camp, I will continue my musical journey and growth as a jazz musician. I hope to further expand my knowledge, refine my skills, and explore new avenues of creativity. In particular I am really looking forward to the musicianship and theory opportunities. Flying Musicians play the National Anthem

Ceremony Honors World War II Airmen Lost at Brooksville Army Airfield By Mark Stone with the Hernando Sun Aviation enthusiasts, history buffs, students, and local dignitaries gathered outside a modest hangar at Brooksville-Tampa Bay Regional Airport on September 30th to mark the 80th anniversary of a tragic aviation accident that still haunts the airport’s history.
