The first BIG aviation event of 2023 is fast approaching – Sun ‘n Fun – March 28 through April 2. LAMA (Light Aircraft Manufacturers Association) is glad to welcome back the Flying Musicians to the LSA Mall in Paradise City.

Sun 'n Fun 2023

The blue tent we had in 2021 is again being provided by the DeLand Airport. The Sound System is provided by BOSE while Honda will provide power with an Eu2200i generator. Sennheiser and SONY microphones will be available as will AirTurn mic stands. Life member Gary Filip will coordinate music and will have his Roland PF-7 keyboard available all week. Come and play! Student member Seth Filip will have a drum set available too. Nancy & Byron might bring a standup bass Thursday & Friday.

We will provide daily outreach with Impromptu music and lots of hangar flying. ALL musicians are encouraged to stop by and share their time and talents. Or just to say hello.

Paradise City is lower left.

Members are providing music for the “Sport Aviation Industry” reception on Wednesday (3/29) evening. Downbeat at 5:00pm. Sign up now (contact John@FlyingMusicians.org) or stop by our tent to coordinate your involvement. Wear your FMA shirt! If you don’t have a shirt, we’ll have plenty on hand… see below. All members are welcome (with shirt).

Please drop by every day and especially at 5pm for a wind-down open mic/jam and more hangar flying. It’s always fun to discuss the aircraft and exhibits.

Saturday at 5pm we will hold the FMA open mic/jam. All are invited! Drinks and Snack will be available on a first-come first-serve basis.

We will have lots of shirts, hats (thanks to Denny), and other FMA branded items to award those who donate this year. Send folks to the FMA Blue tent to stock up on FMA merchandise or visit his link to donate today for shirts, hats, and keychains.
