Orange County Fly-In, Cookout, & Jam Session

Join your fellow aviation enthusiasts and musicians for a day at the airport from 11:00AM until 2:00 PM on June 12, 2021 (rain date June 13, 2021). The Orange County Airport (KMGJ) is the perfect setting for food, fun, and music. This free event for the public, hosted by the Orange County Pilot’s Association along with the Flying Musicians Association and Pilot Fun 101, has something for everyone. Sun ‘n Fun is a GO for April 13-18, 2021 in Lakeland, Florida. FMA will have a stage with our wonderful BOSE sound system powered by a HONDA generator. Sponsored by LAMA and the DeLand Sport Aviation Showcase, we will have music daily by YOU the musicians who attend along with lots of hangar flying. World Helicopter Day 2020 Recap

World Helicopter Day is literally, held all around the world in August, celebrating helicopter flight. The New York area WHD is held at Independent Helicopters at Stewart International Airport. This was a double celebration because Independent Helicopters owner and chief pilot, Heather Howley, was celebrating moving into a new building / hangar / flight school. Helicopter and airplane CFII Greg Knowles gave an FAA Wings program on Pinch Hitter for helicopter passengers.
